Educator,
If you believe we need to talk openly and fearlessly about human rights; that art — especially literature — is a powerful educational path; and that dialogue is a tool for teaching and learning, then this call is for you.
With the 1st Call for the More Plural Library – Girls’ Edition, we aim to support educators working with girls in vulnerable contexts by offering resources to promote female empowerment, respect for diversity, and active citizenship.
- 6 hours of live online training for educators
- Topics include: Human Rights Education, Literature and Empathy, and Restorative Practices in educational activities involving literature.*
- 10 dialogue circle guides
- Compiled into an exclusive e-book to support future educational activities.
- 10 contemporary literary works
-
Books that promote human rights education in a plural, dialogical, and non-polarized way.**
* Training sessions will take place on November 23, 24, and 25, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Brasília time). Please ensure availability on these dates if selected.
** Receiving the books is conditional upon 100% attendance at the training.
The 1st Call for the More Plural Library – Girls’ Edition offers educators the chance to start or expand a reading corner or library project within their institution or organization.
At the Aurora Institute, we believe that literature, restorative practices, and Human Rights Education form a powerful toolkit for social transformation.

Our curation includes 10 contemporary literary works representing diverse worldviews, written by Black authors, women writers, and voices from Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. These stories expand horizons by presenting realities both close to — and different from — those of the girls.
